Reversing Field: ESPN Takes Emmitt Smith Off "Sunday Countdown"

ESPN Drops Emmitt Smith From
"Sunday NFL Countdown" |
ESPN will move Emmitt Smith off of "Sunday NFL Countdown" this season and replace him with Cris Carter. Smith will have an on-air role on the Sunday morning "SportsCenter" and "Monday Night Countdown," which will be produced from the "Monday Night Football" city. Carter also will be on "Monday Night Countdown." Former sideline reporters Suzy Kolber and Michele Tafoya will be on Monday's show, reporting from the "MNF" city. ESPN's "Sunday NFL Countdown" team will include Chris Berman, Mike Ditka, Tom Jackson, Keyshawn Johnson, Chris Mortensen and Carter. "Monday NFL Countdown" will feature all six from the Bristol studio, along with Stuart Scott, Steve Young and Smith from the "MNF" site.
