Boston Globe baseball writer GORDON EDES confirmed that he has "given his notice to sports editor JOE SULLIVAN and will begin" as a national baseball writer with Yahoo Sports within the next month. Edes said in an e-mail Boston "will remain my base and I expect to do a lot of [Red] Sox stuff, but this gives me a chance to choose from a national palette" (BOSTONSPORTSMEDIA.com, 7/26)....In this week's SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, Terry Lefton reports DeBartolo Sports & Entertainment named MICHAEL HORVITZ Senior Manager of Business Strategy.
