The Packers have promoted VP/Administration & Corporate Counsel JASON WIED to VP/Administration & General Counsel and Player/Staff Development Consultant BETSY MITCHELL to VP/Organizational & Staff Development. Packers President & CEO MARK MURPHY also created a "senior leadership" structure within the organization (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 7/24).

EXECS: The Univ. of Pittsburgh has promoted KIRK BRUCE to Associate AD for Sport Administration. Bruce has spent the past decade overseeing Olympic sports for the school. Bruce will report directly to AD STEVE PEDERSON (Pittsburgh TRIBUNE-REVIEW, 7/24)....New York State Athletic Commission Chair RON SCOTT STEVENS yesterday was informed that he is being replaced. Commission member MELVINA LATHAN will be appointed Chair. Stevens, who oversaw boxing in the state for five years in the role, said he was in "shock" (N.Y. POST, 7/24)....The Brewers have promoted ANDREW PAULS Dir of Corporate Marketing. Pauls served as Brewers Suite Sales Manager for the past three years (Brewers).
