Page Turners: Ad Revenue Up Among Transworld Publications
Action sports magazines are seeing the biggest gains in ad revenue for the first half of '08, as Transworld Skateboarding, Transworld Snowboarding and Transworld Surf are seeing double-digit increases. Golf World also is up during the first half of the year (+10.4%). Meanwhile, Sports Illustrated saw ad revenue reach $314.5M, off 3.0% from the same period a year ago. ESPN The Magazine was down 8.5% from the first six months of last year. SI for Kids saw the sharpest drop in ad revenue, down 26.1%. The following lists ad revenue and ad pages for selected sports magazines during the first half of '08, compared to the same period in '07 (Publishers Information Bureau).
