Some Lucas Oil Stadium Seats Obstructed,
But Season Tickets Offer Clear View |
About 200 seats in the corners of the Colts' new Lucas Oil Stadium "will have a partly obstructed view of the playing field ... thanks to several steel support pillars in each of the four corners" of the stadium, according to Dan McFeely of the INDIANAPOLIS STAR. About another three-dozen seats are "considered completely obstructed and will never be sold for a game." But Colts VP/Ticket Operations Larry Hall said, "No season ticket has any obstruction of any kind." Fans who do not mind the view "will have opportunities to buy those partly obstructed views at a cheaper price -- but only after all other seats are sold out." While Colts Senior Exec VP Pete Ward noted that "every Colts game this season has been sold out, the partly obstructed view seats won't go on sale until at least the week of the game." Fans who purchase the obstructed view tickets "will know in advance about the view," as Ward said it is "printed on the ticket." McFeely noted the Colts "define a partial obstruction as being able to see at least half the field," and "any less than half would be a total obstruction" (INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 7/17).
