Down On The Farm: Minor League Baseball Attendance Off 2.9%

Minor League Baseball teams are averaging 4,051 fans per game through July 13, down 2.9% from the same period a year ago. The Triple-A Int'l League leads all leagues with 6,765 fans per game, up 2.5%, while it's counterpart, the Pacific Coast League (PCL), is off 3.7%. The Mexican League is seeing the biggest drop, down 16.9%, with the Eastern League also seeing a significant reduction at the turnstiles. The Double-A Texas League is seeing the biggest gains, up 7.0% from a year ago. The following lists attendance for all leagues associated with Minor League Baseball through July 13, with comparisons to the same period in '07 (THE DAILY).
