Lightning GM JAY FEASTER Friday resigned from the team after six years. Feaster will receive "full compensation from a contract that has three years to go and pays from [$800,000-900,000] a year, though an 'offset' provision would reduce the amount if he took another hockey job." Feaster said in a statement, "It became apparent to me that this ownership group did not need my advice or expertise, and I came to the conclusion that it was time to move on" (ST. PETERSBURG TIMES, 7/12).

EXECS: In this week's SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, Terry Lefton reports Pepsi North America promoted Senior Marketing Manager JOHN STAMATIS to Dir of Sports Marketing. Stamatis has been with Pepsi for seven years. Meanwhile, Subway Dir of Brand Management KIM HENNIG has left her position after three years, in search of a full-time sports marketing gig. Also, the WWE named SME Branding Senior VP TODD SERMERSHEIM Dir of Sponsorship Development. Sermersheim spent about seven months with SME and previously has worked for the NLL and Reebok (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 7/14 issue)....IMG College VP & GM of Gator Sports Properties MARK MCCAULEY has resigned from his position to form Dynamic Sports & Entertainment in Orlando. Dynamic has strategic partnerships in place to represent pro and collegiate events (Dynamic)....Qualcomm Stadium interim Manager MIKE MCSWEENEY has been named permanent Manager, replacing ERIK STOVER, who left in February to become Red Bull Park GM. McSweeney had served as the stadium's Marketing Manager since '03 (SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE, 7/11)....Indianapolis-based sports business consultancy U/S Sports Advisers (USSA) named KRISSI PRICE Manager of Program Development (USSA)....The Breeders' Cup elected HELEN ALEXANDER and ROY JACKSON to its BOD, and Chair WILLIAM FARISH JR. retained his position (Breeders' Cup).
