Petty Enterprises Hiring Mike Bartelli As CMO, Senior VP

MIKE BARTELLI, formerly the president of Millsport's motorsports division, has been hired by Petty Enterprises as CMO & Senior VP. Bartelli will lead the sales, marketing and licensing operations for the Petty race teams and the Richard Petty Driving Experience. Petty Enterprises and the Driving Experience were recently acquired by private-equity firm Boston Ventures, which installed DAVID ZUCKER as CEO. Bartelli represents Zucker's first hire. "With the combined assets of the race teams and the Driving Experience, as well as the history of the Petty name and brand, this became more than the traditional opportunity at a race team," said Bartelli, who begins with Petty on July 28. "This is the chance to restore the brand to its rightful place and this kind of opportunity didn't exist anywhere else." Bartelli was named to SportsBusiness Journal's Forty Under 40 list in '05.
