Patriots Museum Earns Rave Review For Interactive Elements

Hall At Patriot Place To Feature
Numerous Interactive Elements
Visitors to the Hall at Patriot Place, which will open adjacent to Gillette Stadium in September, "can't help but walk away impressed," according to Karen Guregian of the BOSTON HERALD. The hall will showcase the history of the Patriots and the team's HOF and "promises to be a unique sports museum for fans of all ages." Among the museum's components will be "four 30-foot-tall, double-sided, interactive pylons," which will be visible outside the building and will honor Patriots HOFers. There also will be an "In the Game" exhibit, which "will take fans inside the huddle, on the bench, and into the playbook, as they will hear interactions between the players and coaches." There also will be an interactive display featuring Patriots coach Bill Belichick, where "visitors will use a version of his Belistrator to pick plays, and Belichick will explain why he thinks they'll work, or not." The hall will feature a "'clubhouse,' where [visitors] can look through personal items from former players." Additional features will include "a grand hall with a 45-foot cathedral ceiling that projects Pats video and photos; an interactive exhibit highlighting youth football in New England; and a state-of-the-art, 150-seat panoramic theater with a 40-foot screen that will show a 10-minute feature film entitled 'Patriots Way.'" Patriots Exec Dir of Media Relations Stacey James on creating exhibits at the hall, "It was a challenge for us. No one had done anything with a [HOF] that was so reliant on the interactive experience and video" (BOSTON HERALD, 7/6).
