People & Personalities: TBS Adds Reynolds, Eckersley To Studio

 
TBS has added Baseball HOFer Dennis Eckersley and SportsNet N.Y.’s Harold Reynolds to the studio team for the net’s “MLB All-Star Game Selection Show” on Sunday, joining Ernie Johnson and Baseball HOFer Cal Ripken Jr. (TBS). USA TODAY's Michael Hiestand reports Reynolds and Eckersley also will join the net as studio analysts, and Reynolds "will fill in on some TBS regular-season games." Reynolds and Eckersley both are negotiating to join TBS' postseason coverage, which includes all Divisional Series games and the ALCS (USA TODAY, 7/2).

ON THE LAWN: The GLOBE & MAIL's Tom Tebbutt writes former ATPer Tim Henman currently is in his first year as a commentator at Wimbledon for the BBC, and "the reviews thus far have been mixed, with some finding him bland, others informative" (GLOBE & MAIL, 7/2)....ESPN's Bud Collins Monday at Wimbledon was "back on the grounds after having been confined to his hotel because of ulcers in his legs" (CONTRACOSTATIMES.com, 6/30).

IN THE CLUBHOUSE: Golfer Lorena Ochoa has agreed to a deal with Golf Digest Publications to serve as a playing editor for both Golf Digest and Golf For Women magazines. Under the agreement, Ochoa will provide regular bylined instruction and feature content for the two publications. Other Golf Digest Publication playing editors include Jane Crafter, Cristie Kerr, Justin Leonard, Phil Mickelson, Liselotte Neumann, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Nick Price, Annika Sorenstam, David Toms, Wendy Ward and Tiger Woods (Conde Nast).
