PGA Tour Weekends Averaging 2.7 Rating On CBS/NBC
The '08 PGA Tour, for combined weekend coverage on CBS and NBC (43 telecasts), is averaging a 2.7 Nielsen rating, even through the same point last year (42 telecasts). On NBC, ratings are up after a boost from the U.S. Open, as the net is averaging a 3.0 rating through 19 telecasts, up 11.1% from a 2.7 rating through the same point last year (18 telecasts). NBC's figures also include the Monday playoff for the U.S. Open between Tiger Woods and Rocco Mediate. CBS is averaging a 2.4 rating for 24 telecasts, down 11.1% from a 2.7 through 24 this time last year.
