ESPN's Rosa Gatti, Chris LaPlaca Given New Titles, Responsibilities

For the first time since '80, ROSA GATTI will not be heading up ESPN's communications department. Gatti, who joined ESPN in July '80, will move over to be Senior VP/Communications Counsel & Corporate Outreach, where she will report to ESPN/ABC Sports President GEORGE BODENHEIMER. In her new role, Gatti will focus on ESPN's outreach initiatives, such as the V Foundation. CHRIS LAPLACA, who Gatti hired, will take over the communications department as Senior VP/Corporate Communications. LaPlaca will report to Exec VP/Administration ED DURSO. In addition to overseeing external and internal communications, LaPlaca will work closely with Disney's corporate communications and investor relations group.
