Streaming Video Company Vusion Pairs With Sports Video Group

Vusion, a San Jose-based startup specializing in HD-quality streaming online video, has partnered with the Sports Video Group in an effort to reach into the sports industry. The sponsorship-based deal designates Vusion as the broadcasting industry group's official HD encoding and streaming partner for the Sports Broadcasting HOF. Vusion, backed by an undisclosed amount of venture capital funding from BlueRun Ventures and other investors, last month signed with Island Def Jam Music Group to develop an HD music video portal, and is seeking similar traction in sports.
