AEG has named NBA Senior Dir of Global Media Distribution for Europe, the Middle East & Africa MATTHIEU VAN VEEN to the newly created position of VP/AEG Sports -- Europe. Van Veen will be based in Paris and his responsibilities will include creation and management of a portfolio of European sports properties; European leadership and management of AEG's global sports properties relating to AEG's Facilities & Sports Divisions; and coordination of AEG's Facilities business in France (AEG).

TIMES, 6/14)....The Dolphins named JOHN CLARK VP/Sponsorship Sales & Service (Dolphins)....AHL Norfolk Admirals VP & Assistant GM MARK BERNARD will leave the team to join the Blackhawks as GM of Minor League Affiliates, effective June 30 (AHL).
EXECS: In this week's SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, Terry Lefton reports IMG Licensing Founder RICK ISAACSON is now an independent contractor with the firm. Isaacson will retain an office at IMG and will "continue as a key player in IMG's licensing of MLB outside of the Americas, reporting directly" to IMG Sports & Entertainment President GEORGE PYNE. Meanwhile, Omnicom Media Group's Optimum Sports named U.S. Dirs TOM MCGOVERN and RAY KATZ Managing Dirs. Also, AT&T Exec Dir of Sponsorships & Events ERIC FERNANDEZ is leaving the company after 14 years to join L.A.-based brand consultancy Media Link.
