A TALE OF THREE CITIES: NASCAR's three main series last weekend ran in three different cities, and all the races saw increases in ratings. On Friday night, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Sam's Town 400 from Texas Motor Speedway earned a 0.94 coverage area rating (960,000 viewers) on Speed  from 9:00-11:52pm ET, up 40.3% from a 0.67 coverage rating last year, marking the series' fifth consecutive race to see a ratings increase on the net. The increase was driven by growth in the men 18-34 and 18-49 demos, which were up 41% and 35%, respectively. On Saturday night in Nashville, the NASCAR Nationwide Series Federated Auto Parts 300 earned a 1.9 coverage area rating (2.5 million viewers) on ESPN2 from 7:30-10:27pm ET, up 72.7% from a 1.1 coverage rating last year. Finally, on Sunday, TNT kicked off its '08 coverage of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series with the Pocono 500, which earned a 4.6 coverage area rating (6.1 million viewers) from 1:59-6:41pm ET, up 27.8% from a 3.6 coverage rating (5.0 million viewers) for the race last year. The Sprint Cup race also aired in Canada on TSN, averaging 370,000 viewers, and aired immediately following the F1 Canadian Grand Prix, which averaged 293,000 viewers. TSN that night also aired Game Two of the NBA Finals, which averaged 280,000 viewers (THE DAILY).

INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS: Euro 2008 kicked off on ESPN's family of networks last Saturday with Czech Republic-Switzerland on ESPN Classic from 11:30am-1:56pm ET, which earned 168,000 viewers. The most-viewed telecast thus far has been last Sunday's Germany-Poland match on ESPN2 from 2:37-5:00pm ET, which earned 683,000 viewers. Additionally, last Sunday's U.S.-Argentina men's exhibition match at Giants Stadium earned 457,000 viewers on ESPN Classic from 7:30-9:50pm (THE DAILY).
