Moo-ving On Up: Chick-fil-A Debuting Chopping Cow At Turner Field

Chick-fil-A To Erect 40-Foot Tall "Tomahawk-
Chopping Mechanical Cow" At Turner Field
Chick-fil-A is placing a 40-foot tall, 15,000-pound "tomahawk-chopping mechanical cow" atop Turner Field that will be unveiled during the June 20 Mariners-Braves game, according to Joe Guy Collier of the ATLANTA CONSTITUTION. Chick-fil-A Atlanta-area Marketing Dir Robin Ogle said that the QSR has a "five-year agreement to keep the cow at the Turner Field, but the contract could be extended." Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Collier reports the cow, which will be located between a giant Coca-Cola bottle and the out-of-town scoreboard in left field, will be adorned with a Braves hat and a board that reads "Du Tha Chop. Eat Tha Chikin." Braves Exec VP/Sales & Marketing Derek Schiller said that the team “liked the idea because the cow enhances the fan experience.” Chick-fil-A, which “began talking with the Braves two years ago,” recently opened two outlets at Turner Field that, like the rest of Chick-fil-A outlets, are closed on Sundays (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 6/12).
