Brewers Execs Will Use Freebies To Help Interact With Fans

| Brewers To Use Freebies To Connect With Fans |
Beginning with tomorrow’s Twins-Brewers game at Miller Park, Brewers senior execs, "armed with freebies and goodies, will start mixing it up with fans coming to the ballpark," according to Don Walker of the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL. The new Fans First initiative, created by Brewers Exec VP/Finance & Administration Bob Quinn, is "a way of increasing the connection between" execs and fans. One exec at each home game will be responsible for selecting and accompanying a group of four fans to batting practice. The team official will then search the crowd for winners of seat upgrades, food, beverage and retail vouchers, and autographed baseballs. Brewers Exec VP/Business Operations Rick Schlesinger: "The person will go around and interact with the fans and provide them with food and beverage vouchers, baseballs, little things like that. Things that are immediate." Schlesinger also said that the program is "intended to show the team's appreciation for the fans and the fact that they are coming out in larger numbers." The Brewers this weekend will pass one million in attendance and are averaging 33,594 fans per game (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 6/12).
