Dreamworks CEO JEFFREY KATZENBERG, film directors STEVEN SPIELBERG and SPIKE LEE and MLS Galaxy MF DAVID BECKHAM also attended the game at Staples Center, along with the following celebs: JACK NICHOLSON, DENZEL WASHINGTON, SYLVESTER STALLONE, ADAM SANDLER, STEVE CARELL, KANYE WEST and MARIA MENOUNOS (BOSTON HERALD, 6/11).
MEDIA MANIA: ESPN Digital Media Senior Dir of Programming & Acquisitions JOHN LASKER and Turner Sports Senior Producer HOWARD ZALKOWITZ are listed among Broadcasting & Cable's 12 "Next Wave Of Leaders" in the media industry who are "changing content on all platforms." Lasker is "helping forge a sharper identity for ESPN360.com." ESPN360.com VP DAMON PHILLIPS said Lasker "works hard and he is smart, so everyone else has to step up their game." Meanwhile, Turner Sports Senior VP & Exec Producer JEFF BEHNKE said of Zalkowitz, "He's very organized and detailed and he has great foresight. CHARITY STRIPE: The New Balance Foundation is donating $100,000 to the Special Olympics Massachusetts (BOSTON.com, 6/10)....MLB will donate $1.5M and other support to the TAYLOR HOOTEN Foundation as part of an "aggressive grassroots anti-steroid educational program."
