UPS Leads All Sponsors In TV Exposure For ABC's Belmont Stakes

UPS Garners Most TV Exposure Among
Sponsors During ABC's Belmont Stakes Coverage
Data from Connecticut-based SRi indicates UPS led all companies in TV sponsorship exposure during ABC's coverage of the Belmont Stakes on Saturday. UPS' sponsorship of Triple Crown hopeful Big Brown, who finished last, garnered 2 minutes and 21 seconds (2:21) of legible exposure, more than twice as much exposure as the 1:05 received by all sponsors combined during the '07 race. Ninety percent of UPS' exposure came from apparel sponsorship of Big Brown jockey Kent Desormeaux' pants and shirt, as well as the outriders' jackets. NetJets ranked second behind UPS with 0:43 of coverage. The total legible exposure for all sponsors of 5:05 fell short of the levels during the May 3 Kentucky Derby and May 17 Preakness Stakes, during which sponsors earned 27:06 and 7:31 of coverage, respectively. The following represents sponsor exposure from last Saturday's Belmont Stakes telecast on ABC from 5:00-7:00pm ET (SRi).
