Comcast SportsNet Hires Hair As Senior VP/News Operations

Comcast SportsNet has hired PRINCELL HAIR to be Senior VP/News Operations, overseeing news, studio programming and digital content for Comcast's 10 RSNs. CSN hired Hair from TBS, where he had senior positions with CNN and Turner Broadcasting's strategic planning group. Hair started with CSN today. "Princell's experience will be invaluable as Comcast SportsNet continues to expand into new markets and new platforms," said CSN President JON LITNER. Hair said while at CNN he was most proud of overseeing a restructuring of the network, which brought news gathering and programming under the same roof. He also brought in new talent and launched an investigative unit. He said that he doesn't expect to launch an investigative unit at CSN, preferring to have CSN's news shows focus on story telling. Hair: "That means finding the right characters, while using the correct facts, of course."
