CRACK THAT WHIP: Andretti's No. 26 car will promote Lucasfilm's release of "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." Andretti Green Racing Dir of Sales & Marketing Doug Bresnahan said he started planning last June to “engage Lucasfilm in a dialogue because we thought it would be a great platform to bring Indiana Jones to the Indianapolis 500." Bresnahan: “I would say that within five minutes of our pitch, they were on-board.” Andretti: “It’s a huge deal. I’ve never seen a movie promoted as well as this one, to be honest. It’s everywhere you look” (Fox Business, 5/21).

JUST IN TIME: Fisher Thursday agreed to a deal with Text4Cars.com, which is replacing ResQ Pure Energy Power Drink after it "reneged on their agreement as the team primary sponsor." Fisher: "I can't express how emotional I feel at this point and time. I realize this is a gift with only 72 hours left before the race" (GARY POST-TRIBUNE, 5/23). Fisher, who is making her IRL season debut at Indy, now "should have enough money" to appear in the three events she had planned to race during the year (N.Y. TIMES, 5/23).

NOTES: California-based software company iRise will serve as an associate sponsor for Servia's No. 5 car (iRise)....Herbalife has signed a deal to be the official nutritional sponsor of Bell's No. 99 car for the '08 IndyCar Series. The company will have placement on Bell’s car and uniform (Herbalife).
