NFL Net Canceling "Put Up Your Dukes," Denies Report Of Cutbacks
By Preston Bounds, Staff Writer
NFL Network confirmed it is canceling "Put Up Your Dukes," the nightly show hosted by Jamie Dukes. An NFL net spokesperson said, "Networks change shows all the time and we will be adding new shows." Dukes will remain with the net. The spokesperson added that NFL Network will continue to offer a full lineup of studio shows, contrary to a report Tuesday on ProFootballTalk.com that stated "NFL Total Access" and "College Football Now" would be the only studio shows on the net. The spokesperson also described Pro Football Talk's report of "looming cutbacks" as "inaccurate," as the net has no current plans for any layoffs. Pro Football Talk in its original report noted it is "unknown whether anyone will be laid off."
