Joe Somebody: Reebok's Deal With Ravens' Flacco For Three Years

Flacco Signs Three-Year
Endorsement Deal With Reebok
Reebok NFL Sports Marketing Manager Kurt Evans confirmed that Ravens first-round draft pick QB Joe Flacco has signed a three-year endorsement deal with the company, according to ESPN.com's James Walker. Evans: "He's going to be our face, at least for the Ravens. Then, also, hopefully we'll have some big endeavors via print ads and possibly television" (ESPN.com, 5/1).

ROOKIE JERSEY SALES: CNBC's Darren Rovell reported it is "not going to be a record breaking year for NFL rookie jersey sales." The Dolphins have a space dedicated to No. 1 overall pick OT Jake Long jerseys on their team Web site, "but there isn't a number attached." Rovell: "If the team thought he was at all marketable, that wouldn't be the case." Rovell noted the Rams also do not have a number assigned for No. 2 overall pick DE Chris Long. Meanwhile, the two QBs taken in the first round -- Matt Ryan by the Falcons and Flacco -- have "weird number selections." Ryan will wear No. 2, which Rovell wrote is "definitely the most uncommon QB number." Flacco "took No. 5, which only looks OK because of [Eagles QB] Donovan McNabb" (CNBC.com, 5/1).
