Ticketing company Veritix named JEFF KLINE President and head of sales, marketing & client services. Kline formerly was TBA Global Senior Exec VP and MediaLive International VP/Business Operations. Kline will work with existing Veritix CEO SAM GERACE (Eric Fisher, SportsBusiness Journal).
GOLF: The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) named MARK WOODWARD CEO. Woodward is Golf Operations Manager for the city of San Diego. His appointment comes after a national search to replace STEVE MONA, who was named CEO of the World Golf Foundation. Woodward has been “actively involved as a committee participant,” a member of the BOD and President of the GCSAA. In addition, the Environmental Institute for Golf, the philanthropic organization of the GCSAA, elected Nike Golf President BOB WOOD Chair and Leading By Serving President KEN MELROSE Vice Chair & Treasurer. The Board of Trustees also named LPGA board member and Evans Capital Group Founder & President RAE EVANS and Wollaston Recreational Facility/Presidents G.C. Dir & Superintendent JAMES FITZROY to three-year terms. Fitzroy also will serve as Secretary (GCSAA).
EXECS: Rodale promoted CHRIS LAMBIASE to VP & Group Publisher for Running and Cycling, effective May 12. Lambiase will oversee both Runner’s World and Running Times, working closely with Senior VP & Editor-in-Chief of Runner’s World and Editorial Dir of Running Times DAVID WILLEY, as well as Running Times Editor-In-Chief JONATHAN BEVERLY (Rodale)....USA Hockey extended the contract of Exec Dir DAVE OGREAN through 2011 (USA Hockey)....Binghamton Univ. named MICHAEL KALINICH Assistant AD for Corporate Partnerships (Binghamton Univ.).
