Ringling Bros. Circus Heading To Prudential Center In October

The Devils’ practice rink will most likely be filled with elephants, tigers, llamas and zebras during Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus’ inaugural run at Prudential Center this fall. Feld Entertainment has tentatively booked the circus for October 13-16 in Newark, including its pre-show animal open house at the second ice sheet attached to the arena. The facility has bench seating for 800 people. The behind-the-scenes look at the touring production starts 90 minutes before showtime and runs one hour. AEG operates Prudential Center and is negotiating a contract with Feld that would also bring the circus back to Newark in March, as well as two Disney on Ice shows in December and January, said Prudential Center GM and former Feld exec Dale Adams Feld’s touring properties already play MSG, Izod Center and Nassau Coliseum in the N.Y. market.
