Grizzlies Adding Lounge For Floor-Seat Ticket Holders

The Grizzlies for the '08-09 season at the FedEx Forum will build a 3,400-square-foot Floor Seat Holder Lounge to give floor-seat ticket holders a "place to mingle before, during and after games," according to Michael Sheffield of the MEMPHIS BUSINESS JOURNAL. The lounge, which will be adjacent to the arena's Lexus Lounge, will include free food, beer and wine, and can seat up to 260 people. Grizzlies Senior Dir of Marketing Communications John Pugliese said that the atmosphere in the lounge will make fans feel like "high rollers." Grizzlies officials said the budget for the project is in the "lower to mid six figures." Pugliese said that the new lounge "won't take any business away from the Lexus Lounge." Pugliese added that the new lounge's "crown jewel" is a 33 by 18-foot projection screen. Floor-seat tickets range from $10,000-26,550 for the season, and ticket holders next season also will receive valet parking in the same lot as Grizzlies players. The new lounge is being designed by Memphis-based Archimania, which also designed the team's offices. Pugliese said that the team will sell naming rights to the lounge, but not until "after it is built." Meanwhile, the team also will transform The Green Room into the MVP Legends Lounge, which now will be exclusive to season-ticket holders "that have been with the team since it moved to Memphis" (MEMPHIS BUSINESS JOURNAL, 4/18 issue).
