NBA.com's "TNT Overtime" To
Stream Western Conference Finals |
The “TNT Overtime” broadband channel on NBA.com will stream the Western Conference Finals, and fans “will be able to vote for cameras to be focused, separately, on two players each quarter,” according to Michael Hiestand of USA TODAY. Online users also can “choose to watch the game from a camera on the scoreboard above the court as well as from the cable-cam, suspended on a cable, that zips alongside the court.” Additionally, the TNT broadband channel will carry features including “on-site reports from TNT sideline reporters, player interviews, Charles Barkley rants and baby pictures of NBA players” (USA TODAY, 4/18).
TIME TRAVEL: ESPN Senior Dir of Programming Doug White said that ABC/ESPN “had originally built a schedule” where ABC’s 3:00pm ET game on Saturday would be followed by an ESPN tripleheader with start times at 5:30pm, 8:00pm and 10:30pm. However, in a separate piece, Hiestand notes after getting Suns-Spurs for ABC in the “marquee broadcast network window, ESPN will air only two later games” on ESPN -- Mavericks-Hornets at 7:00pm and Jazz-Rockets at 9:30pm. (USA TODAY, 4/18).
