Page Turners: Ad Revenues And Pages For Selected Sports Mags
Sports magazine ad revenue reached $396.4M through Q1 of '08, down 2.8% from the same period last year. Sports Illustrated continues to hold the top spot, seeing a slight gain in ad revenue from a year ago. Transworld Snowboarding and Transworld Surf posted the biggest ad revenue gains through Q1, up 56.0% and 21.2%, respectively, from the same period in '07. SI For Kids saw the biggest decline in ad revenue, down 36.5% through the first three months of '08. The following presents ad revenues and ad pages for selected sports magazines through March (Publishers Information Bureau).
