- Stover’s public comments about Upshaw seem to have opened a door for bloggers to vent their frustrations about the union leader. Some bloggers went as far as to say that Upshaw is “incompetent scum” that should have been removed from his post a while ago.
- Stover’s e-mail has created a ground swell of respect for the often overlooked place kicker. Bloggers thought Stover demonstrated courage, which isn’t traditionally associated with his on-field position.
