| “What is stunning is that the Nationals
– in the city that was starving for baseball for more than three decades
– did not sell out their opening game in their new playpen on a weekend.” |

park in the midst of poverty and infrastructure meltdowns. However,
everyone thinks it is important to feel good when watching the national
pastime.” |

| “Any negatives that I developed
about the stadium on Saturday were totally put to rest for the real opening
game on Sunday. They got their shit together and fixed all the problems
I noticed from Saturday night. Also, when you are in your seats for most
of the game, as opposed to exploring it really is amazing how good the sight
lines are everywhere.” |

walls, the portable carts inside, Trash Cans and other bins -- everyone
was squeezed together. The moment reminded me of The Tokyo Subway System.
We needed those guys with the push sticks to get everyone moving along.” |

- Many bloggers thought the opening of the new ballpark marked the beginning
of Nationals baseball in DC. They felt as though the team was on rent
from Montreal; but with a ballpark of their own, the team now belongs in the
nation’s capital.
- Bloggers were impressed with the ballpark's many bells and whistles, including
“green” facilities, easy entrance from public transportation,
video game stations, and the ability to bring in food from home.
- Several fans felt the ballpark was an uninspired, carbon copy of other recently
built stadiums around MLB.
