Microsoft Small Business To Begin Sponsorship Of BAM Racing

BAM Racing To Debut Microsoft Small
Business Sponsorship At Sunday's Sprint Cup Race
Microsoft has a deal in place to sponsor BAM Racing's NASCAR operation beginning this weekend, according to a blog post by Microsoft U.S. Senior Manager of Small Business Community Engagement Eric Ligman on his company's web site and cited by Ron Lemasters of NASCAR.com. The deal includes BAM providing several of Microsoft's Small Business Specialist Partners (SBSC) with a multi-faceted marketing package for a "one-time promotional price of $3,995." The fee also includes a logo on the Microsoft section of BAM's No. 49 car driven by Ken Schrader for the remainder of the season. Also as part of the deal, BAM will offer a "custom race Web site with the SBSC company's logo or name" and a "custom VIP race weekend sweepstakes program designed to get the SBSC partner's customers coming back over and over" to the site. BAM indicated that the deal includes a "possible free primary sponsorship," with one business this season being "chosen to receive a free primary race sponsorship, a $300,000 value" (NASCAR.com, 3/26).

SHIFTING GEARS: BAM will switch from Dodge to Toyota beginning with Sunday's Sprint Cup Goody's Cool Orange 500 at Martinsville Speedway (SCENEDAILY.com, 3/26).
