Bulls Raising Prices On A
Third Of Their Season Tickets
The Bulls for the '08-09 season have raised prices on 33% of their season tickets. About 18% of seats at the United Center will jump $5, and 15% of the seats, "representing prime real estate, will be hit harder." Seats between the baskets on the 100 level will rise 12.5% from $120 to $135, main floor seats will increase from $225 to $250 and courtside seats will jump from $850 to $950. All 300-level seats, 200-level corner seats and 100- and 200-level end-zone seats will stay at the same price. Bulls Exec VP/Business Operations Steve Schanwald said that 500 seats in the 300-level section still will sell for $10 per game (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 3/20).

BUCKS: The Bucks for just the third time since '90 will not raise season-ticket prices for the '08-09 season, and season-ticket holders with $56 lower-level packages will receive a 25% discount if they renew before April 14. Also, the majority of other season-ticket holders will receive a 5% discount if they renew before April 14. Bucks VP/Business Operations John Steinmiller: "We know it's been a disappointing season, so we are doing everything we can to add value to renewal, add benefits to renewal and get into a position to know who is coming back and who isn't" (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 3/22).

NOTES: The Steelers raised some ticket prices at Heinz Field for next season, with the cost of some seats increasing by as much as 21%. All club seat prices were raised, as the tickets formerly ranging from $150-212 per seat now will cost $175-240. Many of the grandstand seats throughout the stadium will remain at the same price (PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE, 3/21)....Lightning season tickets next season will "generally remain flat or decrease." Some lower-bowl end zone seats will drop 41.8%, while the "cheap seats" will drop 33%. But Lightning Senior VP/Communications Bill Wickett said that some prices "could increase significantly, almost 172[%] in some cases in the high upper deck" (ST. PETERSBURG TIMES, 3/24).
