WNBA Lynx Rolls Out Marketing Campaign For 10th Season

WNBA Lynx Rolling Out New
Campaign For 10th Season
The WNBA Lynx have rolled out a marketing campaign called "Primal Aggression, Passionate Basketball" as the franchise heads into its 10th anniversary season. The campaign, created by A/B GroupOne, Minneapolis, will include outdoor signage, transit advertising, TV, print, radio and Internet advertising. "As we head into our 10th anniversary, we felt that this was the perfect opportunity to elevate our marketing efforts by focusing on a brand strategy that would allow the Minnesota Lynx to establish our brand and increase awareness in the market on a year-round basis," said Lynx VP/Business Operations Angela Taylor. A/B GroupOne will also create a campaign that spotlights Lynx players, initially featuring WNBA All-Star Seimone Augustus. The campaign also will include "10 Days of Mayhem," a 10-day schedule of events, player appearances and community service leading up to the team's opening game May 18 against the Shock.
