Henry Thomas, Chris Thorne Named Presidents Of CSMG Divisions

Sports marketing and management firm CSMG Inc. has named NBA player agent HENRY THOMAS as President of CSMG Sports and CHRIS THORNE as President of CSMG Media, the Chicago-based company announced today. Thomas, best known as agent to Heat G DWYANE WADE, Raptors F CHRIS BOSH and Spurs F MICHAEL FINLEY, as well as other NBA players, joined CSMG when the company acquired his practice in '02. Thorne, a new business development exec, joined CSMG in '05. Thomas and Thorne replace former CSMG CEO MIKE HALL, who left the company last year. Veteran baseball agent ALAN NERO, who founded the company in '83, said in a statement: “I am very pleased with the appointments of Henry and Chris and the overall strategic direction of CSMG. Henry’s 20 years in the representation business have more than prepared him for this role. He will insure that we continue to excel in servicing and managing the careers of our athlete clients. Chris is an extremely bright and talented individual who is totally committed to increasing our footprint in the ever-evolving sports media space.”
