NFL Franchise Notes: Bucs, Vikings, 49ers Announce Ticket Hikes

Buccaneers Raising Ticket Prices
For Sixth Consecutive Season
In St. Petersburg, Stephen Holder reported the Buccaneers have raised season ticket prices for the sixth straight season, and this increase "appears steeper" than those in the past. Tickets will range from $42-99 per game, and some seats will increase as much as $23 per contest. However, the team will not require "new seat deposits from Raymond James Stadium's original season ticket holders, whose 10-year commitments ended last season." Instead, those ticket holders will sign a three-year agreement if they renew their seats (ST. PETERSBURG TIMES, 2/9).

VIKINGS: The Vikings announced an overall average increase of 3% on season ticket prices for '08, compared to the league average increase of 6.5% for '07. The team will have 11 pricing options for season tickets, ranging from $99 to $1,230 for a 10-game season package (Vikings). Vikings VP/Sales & Marketing Steve LaCroix said, "Our main priorities were to maintain affordable options for our season-ticket holders while keeping price increases as low as possible" (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 2/10).

49ERS: The 49ers increased average season-ticket prices for '08 from $64 to $71 per game, which the club expects to "rank among the six lowest in the NFL, $13 below the league-wide average." The club has added two price options at $71 and $98 for season-ticket holders, and single-game seats will range from $35-113 (S.F. CHRONICLE, 2/8).
