Newsmakers: Tilghman Surely Regretting "Lynch" Remark

WIN: CRAIG LEIPOLD -- The new Wild Owner goes from leading one of the more unstable NHL franchises in the Predators to perhaps the league’s modern-day model. Leipold now does not have to worry about issues like a lack of fan support or arena lease problems as he did in the Music City. Also, he promises to keep things status quo within the club, certainly good news for hockey fans in the Twin Cities.

Tilghman's Reputation
Takes Hit With Comment
LOSS: KELLY TILGHMAN -- What seems like an inadvertent slip of the tongue, her comment that young players should "lynch" TIGER WOODS, turns into a two-week suspension for Golf Channel’s top anchor. While critics can argue whether the punishment was warranted, Tilghman’s reputation takes a hit as she is being compared to the likes of DON IMUS, FUZZY ZOELLERJIMMY THE GREEK, RUSH LIMBAUGH and others who have made racially-insensitive comments.

DRAW: NIKE -- We applaud the shoe giant's effort to go green with the 23rd version of the AIR JORDAN.  But a $230 socially-conscious shoe? File that under things that make us go hmmmm.
