World No. 2 Pettersen Joins Nike Golf; Gulbis Moves To IMG

Pettersen Inks Multi-Year
Endorsement Deal With Nike
Nike Golf has inked a multi-year deal with Suzann Pettersen, the world No. 2-ranked female golfer, according to GOLFWEEK.  Pettersen will use Nike Golf clubs, balls, footwear, gloves and bags.  Nike officials indicated that Pettersen "eventually will wear their apparel," but she is currently still under a clothing contract with Peak Performance. Pettersen previously played with TaylorMade clubs, a Ping Doc 15 Putter, Titleist Pro V1 balls and wore FootJoy shoes (GOLFWEEK, 1/12 issue).

OCTA-GONE: Sources have confirmed that LPGAer Natalie Gulbis has left Octagon for IMG. Gulbis became "one of the most visible women in golf" in her two years with Octagon, due in part to endorsement deals with MasterCard, RSM McGladrey, Canon, Raymond Weil, Sem Group, Anheuser-Busch and 24 Hour Fitness. Octagon "will continue to manage Gulbis' existing accounts until they expire." The status of Golf Channel's "The Natalie Gulbis Show" is unknown (GOLFWEEK.com, 1/9).
