Find A City: Nissan Eyes Local Spots Buy For Super Bowl

Nissan is "quietly mulling a large spot buy" that would allow the company to run ads on  several Fox TV stations and affils during the Super Bowl in an attempt to "avoid paying the hefty multimillion-dollar price tag" for a national ad during the game, according to Brian Steinberg of AD AGE. While a Nissan spokesperson would not confirm details, a source said that the automaker is planning to use the spots to advertise its Murano, a "so-called midsize crossover that pairs the driving experience of a regular car with some of the features" of an SUV (ADAGE.com, 12/18).
