People & Personalities: Pam Oliver Defends McNabb Report

Oliver Defends In-Game
Report On Donovan McNabb
Fox’ Pam Oliver “strongly defended her in-game report" during Eagles-Cowboys Sunday that Eagles QB Donovan McNabb “seems to believe that his days in Philadelphia are numbered,” according to Bob Brookover of the PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER.  McNabb denied making the comments, but Oliver said, “I was backing away to leave and he said, ‘I know that the next place I go, I will win, and I will have a smile on my face the whole time.’” Oliver: “He proceeded with a whole lot of information that he completely volunteered. He was putting his opinion out there about everything. I’m a little shocked and dumbfounded that it has all been denied. I can’t believe it, and I don’t understand it.” McNabb declined to respond to Oliver’s latest comments (PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, 12/18).

JUSTICE IS SERVED: YES Network said that it will retain Yankees analyst David Justice despite his being named in the Mitchell Report last week. YES COO Ray Hopkins said that he had “no reason to doubt Justice’s assertions last week that he had not taken [HGH], as alleged in the report”  (MULTICHANNEL.com, 12/18).

GOING STREAKING: ESPN is producing a one-hour documentary on the Brandon (FL) High School wrestling program, which has a record of 451-0 since ’73. The project, titled "The Streak," will be produced by ESPN Content Development in conjunction with Kelly Ripa’s and Mark Consuelos’ Milojo Productions and in association with producer John Hock and Hock Films. Ripa and Consuelos will serve as exec producers for the documentary, which is set to debut in October (ESPN).
