Most Memorable Daily Downloads In '07

THE DAILY compiled a list of ten Daily Downloads that stood out in ’07. Below is the list in chronological order.

SUNS’ “TROPHY GUY”: The Suns' multimedia campaign featuring “Trophy Guy,” a personification of the NBA’s Larry O’Brien Trophy, is so successful that it draws interest from the league for the mascot to participate in NBA Finals activities and local Emmy nominations.

PEYTON MANNING’S “UNITED WAY” SKIT ON "SNL": Manning showcases his comedic delivery in this faux PSA for the United Way on NBC’s “SNL,” showing a less wholesome side of the NFL’s most-marketable player. 

WILL FERRELL AS “CHUCK BERRY”: NFL Network spices up its NFL Draft preview show with this skit featuring actor Will Ferrell as Chuck Berry, a USC auxiliary strength and conditioning coach, who helps prospect Ryan Kalil prepare for the draft.

FSN’S “BDSSP” BEST OF ‘80s RAP: FSN calls on KRS-One, Kool Moe Dee and Young MC to poetically provide an encompassing list of the best sports moments of the ‘80s for a “BDSSP” special.

LEBRON JAMES ETCH-A-SKETCH: Etch-A-Sketch artist George Vlosich showcases his steady hand in this creation of James, which took over five hours to produce.

“THE PARROT” FINAL SCENE: Several Pirates mascots hit the big screen at PNC Park to re-enact the final scene of HBO’s “The Sopranos.”

“ROGERS CLEMENS 2057”: Following Roger Clemens inking a deal to pitch for the Yankees this past season at the age of 44, a Red Sox fan posts this short film about the dilemma the Yankees will find themselves in in 50 years.

"GOODFOULERS": This skit aims to show what the film “Goodfellas” would have been like if it starred former NBA referee Tim Donaghy.

“LEAVE BELICHICK ALONE”: A football fan looks to follow in the footsteps of YouTube star Chris Crocker and pleads for fans to get off of Belichick's case following the Patriots “Spygate” scandal.

MIKE GUNDY TIRADE SPOOF: Oklahoma State Univ. football coach Mike Gundy’s tirade inspires several parodies, including this variation of the Coors Light series of football coaches’ press conferences.
