A federal campaign filing revealed Presidential candidate MITT ROMNEY owns an undisclosed amount of stock in YES Network. The filing does not say when Romney purchased the stock, which sits in a blind trust. Romney’s spokesperson, ERIC FEHRNSTROM, joked, “Now that he knows he owns a piece of the network, he’s going to black out all the games.” Romney served as Massachusetts Gov. from '03-07 (BOSTON HERALD, 8/14).
ENLISTING HELP: NFL Commissioner ROGER GOODELL and NFLPA Exec Dir GENE UPSHAW were asked by 20 U.S. military members who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan “to help secure the release of all documents related to the death” of former Cardinals LB PAT TILLMAN, who was killed by friendly fire while serving as an Army Ranger in Afghanistan (AP, 8/13).
