Hershey's To Sign Deal With USOC As Supplier For '08 Olympic Team

The Hershey Company is expected to announce a one-year deal today with the USOC that will make it an official supplier of the '08 U.S. Olympic Team. Sources put the deal in the low-seven figures. Hershey will put the five-ring, U.S. Olympic team mark on multiple products, including Hershey's Kisses, Hershey's Milk Chocolate, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Kit Kat, Almond Joy, Twizzlers and York Peppermint Patties. The company has previous experience with Olympic sports through a 30-year relationship with USA Track & Field, highlighted by the Hershey's Track & Field Games. Strategic, a marketing agency based in New York, represented Hershey's in the negotiation.
