Predators Grow Season Ticket
Base By About 700 At Rally |
A daylong rally and ticket-thon for the Predators at Sommet Center Thursday “drew about 7,500 supporters and sold more than 700 season tickets,” according to Ghianni & Glennon of the Nashville TENNESSEAN. Season-ticket sales before the rally stood at about 7,500, and management would “like to see that climb to near 10,000 by the start of the coming season.” The Predators' lease at the Sommet Center would remain in place if the team averages 14,000 fans per game next season (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 7/20).
LEIPOLD: In Nashville, David Climer notes Predators Owner Craig Leipold was “conspicuously absent from the rally.” He has “maintained his public silence since May 23, the day he announced he was attempting to sell the team.” But “anybody who demonizes Leipold because he is trying to sell the team has conveniently forgotten everything he had done in the last 10 years. … He remains pro-Nashville” (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 7/20).
