Blackhawks Raise Individual Ticket Prices For '07-08
The Blackhawks have “held the line on season ticket prices but raised some individual prices” for the upcoming season, according to Tim Cronin of the DAILY SOUTHTOWN. In every price range, there are different rates for the same seat in United Center “depending on whether it’s bought on a full-season basis, or one of three partial season ticket plans, or in the days leading to the game, or on the day of the game.” In each case, the game-day price is the most expensive and the season ticket the least expensive. For example, the $40-per-game season ticket in the 300 Level would cost $41 in the half-season plan, $42 in the 11-game plan, $44 in the five-game plan, $45 as a single ticket before game day, and $50 on game day. Last year, the same seat cost $45 on game day. The Blackhawks also had a game-day price increase last season, but overall the team has “held ticket prices steady since 2000.” Blackhawks Exec Dir of Communications, Broadcasting & Community Outreach Jim DeMaria estimated that the team had 6,000-7,000 season-ticket equivalents last season (DAILY SOUTHTOWN, 7/12).
