SHAQ'S REALITY: In DC, Lisa de Moraes listed ABC’s “Shaq’s Big Challenge,” the weight-loss show featuring Heat C Shaquille O’Neal, among her losers of the week after drawing an “anorexic” 4.5 million viewers for its debut June 26 (WASHINGTON POST, 7/4).
MLB: FSN Detroit was the third most-watched net in the greater Detroit area for the month of June in primetime. Overall primetime viewership in June averaged a 4.1, behind just WDIV-NBC and WXYZ-ABC. The net averaged an 8.1, or 157,000 HHs, for 18 Tigers broadcasts (FSN Detroit)....WFTC-MYT has earned a 9.5/25/ (159,448 HHs) local rating in Minneapolis/St. Paul for 15 Twins broadcasts this year, a 46% increase from '06. FSN North is averaging a 7.5/ (125,880 HHs), a 42% increase from a 5.3 at the same point last year (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 7/6)....Padres broadcasts on Channel 4 San Diego through Wednesday have averaged a 7.4/14, and the net is entering the All-Star Break up 20-25% over a 6.0/12 last year (SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE, 7/6).
