Falcons Sell Preseason Camp Naming Rights To Russell Athletic

Russell Athletic Inks Four-Year Deal
For Entitlement To Falcons' Training Camp
The Falcons have sold naming rights for their preseason training camp to Russell Athletic as part of a new four-year deal, according to Tim Tucker of the ATLANTA CONSTITUTION.  The camp’s official name will be "The Atlanta Falcons Russell Training Camp." Falcons Exec VP/Marketing & Sales Dick Sullivan said that the naming rights run from the start of camp (July 25) to the start of the season, but are “not to the Falcons' training facility itself.”  He added that the deal is worth $1-2M annually, making it “one of the Falcons' top 10 partnership deals.”  The deal also gives Russell “extensive signage at the Georgia Dome, radio and television advertising during preseason games, radio advertising during regular-season games and status as the Falcons' ‘preferred supplier of promotional apparel and premium items.’”  Russell Athletic President Doug Kelly said that among the benefits to the company will be the “opportunity to conduct product-line demonstrations and clinics for high school and college coaches in an NFL training-camp environment” (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 6/24).
