YouTube Facing Class Action Lawsuit
For Trademark Violations
Cherry Lane Music Publishing -- which has partnerships with the NFL and WWE and administers trademarks for Elvis Presley -- as well as France’s soccer and tennis federations, joined the Premier League's class action lawsuit against YouTube, according to Owen Gibson of the Manchester GUARDIAN.  The Premiership sued YouTube last month claiming trademark violations.  A Premier League spokesperson said the new partners are “the tip of the iceberg," and Gibson notes the German Bundesliga “is believed to be among those considering" joining the legal action  (Manchester GUARDIAN, 6/7).
