NBA Development League President PHIL EVANS will resign effective July 1 after deciding not to relocate his family when the league moves its HQs from Greenville, South Carolina, to N.Y. A successor, who will serve as a consultant on D-League matters for the NBA, will be named shortly (NBA)....PBR COO SEAN GLEASON, who has been in his role since ’00, will be transitioned to CMO where he will be responsible for sponsorship, marketing, PR, fan relations, media services and business development (PBR).... SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL’s Tripp Mickle reports MLS promoted Senior VP/Player Personnel TODD DURBIN to Exec VP/Player Personnel, and Senior VP/Business Affairs and General Counsel JOANN NEALE to Exec VP. Neale will work with MLS Works, HR and administration (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 5/20 issue)....MSL Productions named ED MANETTA Partner & Senior VP/Communications. Manetta, a former CEO of Worldwide Marketing & Media Group, will oversee TV production and communications in the sports and marketing division (MSL Productions)....RON BORGES is leaving the Boston Globe to pursue new opportunities in sports journalism. Borges, who covered the NFL and boxing, was suspended for two months in early March for plagiarizing material in his weekly football notes column from the Tacoma News Tribune (THE DAILY).
