Tony Parker Latest Athlete To Be Featured In vitaminwater Ad

Parker To Be Featured In vitaminwater
Ads Starting This Month
Spurs G Tony Parker became an investor in Glaceau’s vitaminwater earlier this year and will be featured in local radio and in-store ads for the brand beginning later this month, according to Melissa Monroe of the SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS-NEWS. Parker said that he drinks two or three bottles of vitaminwater a day, adding, “I invest in products and companies I believe in.” Glaceau Senior VP/Marketing Rohan Oza said the ads will run in the San Antonio area and possibly move to other cities. Oza said that celebrity interest in vitaminwater “took off in 2004 when rapper 50 Cent held a vitaminwater in a Reebok commercial and later became an investor.” Monroe noted 50 Cent also “helped to create vitaminwater’s ‘formula 50,’ and has been featured in vitaminwater-hosted poker tournaments attended by Parker and his fiancée, Eva Longoria” (SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS-NEWS, 5/5).
