White Sox Offering Several T-Shirts
Around Mark Buehrle’s No-Hitter |

White Sox P Mark Buehrle is scheduled to start Saturday against the Angels, his
first start at U.S. Cellular Field since throwing a no-hitter there on April 18,
and the team is attempting to capitalize on the accomplishment. Through their
in-ballpark Majestic Custom T-shirt Shop, the White Sox have created five new
T-shirts as a way to commemorate the 16th no-no in club history. Fans can buy
shirts that include slogans like “I Was There: 4-18-07” and “You
Can Put Nothing On The Board...Yes,” a take-off of announcer Hawk Harrelson’s
distinctive home run call. The shirts are on sale exclusively at the ballpark
and sell for $20 for men’s shirts, $22 for women’s styles and $18
for children sizes. White Sox Dir of PR Lou Hernandez said the team commissioned
the shirts in-house partially to stave off potential unlicensed merchandise being
sold outside the ballpark. Meanwhile, the cap Buehrle wore during the game and
a baseball from the outing were sent to the Baseball HOF, where the items will
be on display.
